OSAI

OSAI began its journey in January 2000 with a view to carry out conservation and environment oriented projects in South India, specifically in the Western Ghats.  OSAI is energized by a selected few individuals from various walks of life with a concern for nature and wildlife.  OSAI as the organization is better known is synonymous with awareness campaigns, conservation battles, and wildlife protection in its areas of operation.  These areas include the Western Ghats, its rivers, and river basins.

OSAI have been involved in the creation of eco-based activities in many parts of the state.  Since its inception, OSAI’s projects could be broadly classified under the following heads:

•    Awareness campaigns
•    Research studies
•    Eco-oriented people-based projects
•    Eco activism
•    Forming network
•    Production of publicity material
