April 22, 2008, Coimbatore Earth Day is observed around the world in celebration of the environment and with the idea of protecting the environment.
To mark the World Earth day observance, we distributed handbills on the do’s and don’ts at the Gandhipuram central bus stand, in Coimbatore to the passengers travelling to the Nilgiris. Osai activists K. Kalidasan, M. Ganesh, K.R. Karthikeyan, Kovai Sathasivam and Avainayagam along with students’ volunteers handed over the handbills to these passengers with an appeal: The Earth day handbill also contained the following points.
