OSAI

The 113th birth anniversary of Dr. Salim Ali was jointly celebrated by OSAI, an environmental organization, and K’SIRS at the school campus on the 12th of November 2009. Mr Avainayagan, Secretary,OSAI, gave the welcome address and introduction.

The students from grades I to IV were taken for bird watching around Chinnavedampatti where they observed different birds including kingfisher, cattle egret, mynah, etc., in their natural habitat. This was followed by a documentary film "Wild Periyar" of Mr. Suresh Elamon, which proved to be a very entertaining and informative one for the children. Later, Mr. M. Ganesh, vice president,OSAI and other members including Mr. Subash Chandran, Mr. Manoj Priyan and Mr. K. Mohan Raj interacted with the students and answered their queries enthusiastically.
