TrekkingOSAI organises regular nature trail trekking to students and all nature lovers periodically. Eco treks provide a learning experience to all active participants. Trekking creates awareness about bio diversity spots in our Western Ghats and we make them understand why it is important to protect our environment.Bird WatchingBird watching or Birding is an observation and study of birds. Finding and identifying different bird species can be challenging. Birds of Western Ghats can be identified by using field guides and visually determining the bird's size, shape, color, behavior, time of sighting, migration patterns, range of habitat, etc. Habitat WatchHabitat, the word is best defined as a natural living place in which an organism thrives with ease. Every habitat is precious in its own way. Greedy man and his contraptions have interrupted and entangled the web of life that prevailed in all habitats. Habitat Watch is a program initiated among members of OSAI to report about the quality of habitat that they have visited recently. The members are requested to send their reports addressing the specific problems observed in a place during their visit. The report should include the following details: OSAI bird watching team visits nearby birding areas such as ponds, lakes, dam sites, forests, records and studies the birds. Interested persons can contact OSAI bird watching team. |
