Solid waste from Kerala was dumped on the roadside of L&T Bypass in Coimbatore on the 9th of August. Mr. Krishnamoorthi, an OSAI Activist, had noticed solid waste from footwear industry being dumped on the bypass road. The disturbing fact is that it is not a one off case and this dumping of solid waste happens on a regular basis with either direct or indirect support of the Kerala Municipality authorities. The usual culprits are the lorries that operate between Kerala and Tamil Nadu.
