Environmental Impact Analysis of Tourism in Four Major River Basins (March 2003) This research study involved an in-depth analysis of the four river basins of Bhavani, Noyyal, Parambikulam-Aliyar Project (PAP) and Amaravathi, the impact of tourism on the natural wealth of these areas and the trend of degradation over the last few years. This project attempts to identify the carrying capacity of the tourism spots, its positive and negative impacts by the tourism activity and documented the degradation of water and land resources due to tourism.
